Preliminary Request for Information (RFI) Regarding specialized safety devices for the “Fast Lane” project

1.The Ayalon Highway Company Ltd., (Henceforth: The “Company”) is requesting information regarding specialized safety devices for the “Fast Lane” project.
2.The aim of the project is the construction of 90 Km. of fast lanes along Highway 20 and Highway 2. These will include traffic monitoring and toll collection systems, combined transport centers that, in turn, will include “Park & Drive” facilities and a public transport hub at Rishon LeTzion and Shefayim, shuttle services, control centers and associated facilities.
3.Details of required equipment:
3.1.Delineators – a flexible barrier that will divide the fast lane (the leftmost lane in each direction) from the other, normal lanes.
3.2.Retractable barrier– an element that is designed to warn the driver and deter them from “gliding” in the direction of the fast lane’s entry gate when traffic flow in the fast or the regular lanes is opposite to the direction that the driver is travelling in.
3.3.Mobile safety barrier– an element that is designed to hermetically seal the openings between the two barriers at fast lane entry gates in such a way as to prevent drivers from accessing the lane designated for traffic coming from the opposite direction.
3.4.Dynamic routing – dynamic, light emitting signs designed to make possible changes and dynamic routing of traffic lanes according to permitted traffic directions throughout the day.
